Trudell Medical Limited closes on purchase of Vyaire Medical RDx, to rebrand RDx as Jaeger Medical
London, Canada, November 13, 2024 – Trudell Medical Limited has closed on the purchase of the RDx business unit of Vyaire Medical.
The closing of the sale ensures the continuation of service to RDx customers as Trudell Medical will operate RDx as a separate business unit and maintain operations in Germany and California.
RDx manufactures respiratory diagnostic products that are used in hospitals and private clinics worldwide and are trusted by specialists in the respiratory community to help enable, enhance and extend lives.
The acquisition will increase Trudell Medical’s already strong market position in aerosol drug delivery and lung health devices by adding premium respiratory diagnostics to its industry-leading aerosol drug delivery and lung health devices.
The Vyntus™ ONE Pulmonary Function System and Body Plethysmography System, Vyntus™ CPX Metabolic Cart, will be added to Trudell Medical’s product portfolio that includes the AEROCHAMBER*, AEROBIKA* OPEP, AEROECLIPSE Nebulizer devices.
Jaeger Medical: A new era, a familiar name
The RDx business unit will be rebranded as Jaeger Medical, a return to the company’s roots in being named after its Founder, Erich Jaeger, who produced the first respiratory stress testing device—in 1954. This innovation set the stage for the continuous refinement of respiratory diagnostics over the past 70 years.
